Trash Disposal & Recycling

Trash Pickup Fall/Winter 2022/2023 (November - April):
Mondays Only
 
Trash Pickup Summer (May – October):

Mondays & Thursdays, Wednesdays on the Neck.

Please have your trash and recycles curbside early. Trash must be in Town of Gosnold green bags which are available at the Market, Town Hall & Town Truck.

  • Recycling: Co-mingle, glass, plastic and aluminum. 
  • Cardboard should be broken down and stacked separately. 
  • We DO NOT recycle, newspaper, aluminum foil and plastic wrap.

Please remember all items which you throw away must be taken off the island via trucks and barges which becomes very expensive. Try to help us limit trash disposal in anyway possible.

Mutt Mitts are available around the island, PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS.

Cuttyhunk has delicious, drinkable water, we discourage visitors bringing single use water bottles to the island. 

Help us keep Cuttyhunk clean! Be respectful of our Solid Waste crew and all they do to get rid of the trash which is generated by all of us.
